The Video Production and Editing program at MCC offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Video Production and Editing designed to provide students with knowledge, skills, and abilities for entry-level positions in the field of Audio/Video technology. The program focuses on all aspects of work in the field including set-up and maintenance of equipment, production practices and operation, and editing and post production in video and audio. This degree will develop the workflow and industry standard practices from pre-production through post-production.
The degree includes specialities necessary for a variety of related careers through course work in Special Effects and Animation, Graphic Design, Marketing, and Fine Arts. This will allow students to develop the career skills necessary to work in an innovative and evolving career field.
The primary purpose of an Associate in Applied Science degree is to prepare students for employment. The AAS degree in not designed specifically for transfer; however, there are opportunities to apply to some coursework of the whole degree to a bachelor’s degree program.
