The Commercial Air Conditioning II Certificate expands upon the use of tools, electrical formulas, and electrical test equipment for the installation and troubleshooting of commercial air conditioning equipment. Training also builds upon the use of energy auditing equipment and software, direct digital controls used to operate building automation systems, and the function, operation, and the principles of ventilation requirements and air diagnostic test equipment.

Commercial Air Conditioning II Certificate Requirements

Program Core: 16 Credit Hours

HVA 107 - HVAC Electrical II 4 Credits
HVA 115 - Energy Audit 4 Credits
HVA 117 - Direct Digital Controls 4 Credits
HVA 118 - Air Movement and Ventilation 4 Credits

Total Certificate Credits: 16

Other Certificate Graduation Requirements:

2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
