The Architectural Design Certificate provides students with a foundation in architectural design and communication. The curriculum focuses on the principles of architectural design, and the skills to communicate them to clients and stakeholders, preparing students for a career as an entry-level designer in an architecture or building design-related firm. This certificate can also serve as first step towards completing the Associate in Applied Science in Architectural Technology - Design Option degree.

Architectural Design Certificate Requirements
Program Core: 22 Credit Hours
Program Electives: 6 Credit Hours
Total Certificate Credits: 28
Other Certificate Graduation Requirements
- 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
- For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
- Completion of graduation application
- Completion of end-of-program assessment as directed by this department
