Program Overview
The Digital Media and Animation program at MCC offers an Associate of Applied Science degree designed to provide students with knowledge, skills, and abilities for entry-level positions in the field of multimedia production. The program focuses on all aspects of work in the fieldincluding graphics and animation design, design and production of multimedia campaigns, and the use of technology to create objects in motion. This degree will develop the workflow and industry standard practices from conception to production.
The degree includes specialities necessary for a variety of related careers like Special Effects and Animation, Digital Artist, Graphic Design, and Fine Arts. This will allow students to develop the career skills necessary to work in an innovative and evloving career field.
The primary purpose of an Associate in Applied Science degree is to prepare students for employment. The AAS degree in not designed specifically for transfer; however, there are opportunities to apply to some coursework of the whole degree to a bachelor’s degree program.
