AVD 280 - Sound Production II

Sound Production II begins to explore personal style, contemporary issues, and content and continues to explore more advanced techniques in Audio Production practices using current analog and digital audio technologies. It expands on the conceptual and technical skills acquired in Sound Production I to expand issues of time, motion, mix, audio image, sync, sound design, midi, recording techniques, and installation within the context of Audio Production. Students may repeat this course twice for a maximum of 9 credit hours.

Required Supplies: External Hard Drive that can support at least 500 GB of data. Thumb Drives will not be accepted. If you have an external drive please bring it day one to see if it will meet the requirements. Microphones and audio equipment are available for students to use on campus.

Note: Prior computer experience and basic audio experience required. This course requires basic reading, basic writing and basic math.
