ARC 171 - Introduction to Design I

Lecture: 2 Lab: 4

Introduction to Design I introduces the principles of architectural composition, including form, space, and order.  Students explore architectural precedents and design conceptualization, and learn to create two- and three-dimensional architectural representations using analog and digital methods, including sketching, drawing, analytical diagramming, and physical and digital modeling.  

Note: This course requires intermediate reading and writing, and basic math skills.​
