OTA 100 - Disability in U.S. Society 3 Credits Lecture: 3
Disability in U.S. Society explores key themes, models, and experiences regarding the intersection of disability and society. The course explores the lived experiences of persons with disabilities with a focus on understanding the associated health and societal barriers. The course emphasizes critical thinking and reflection on the disability experience to encourage consciousness raising and action as we work towards a more healthy and inclusive society.
Note: This course requires basic reading, basic writing, and basic math skills.
