SON 145 - Abdominal Sonography II

3 Credits
Lecture: 2 Lab: 2

Abdominal Sonography II focuses on advanced imaging techniques and analysis of sonographic and Doppler patterns in various disease processes. Students will perform ultrasounds of the great vessels, pancreas, abdominal aorta, adrenal glands, and urinary bladder while applying appropriate imaging modifications and advanced techniques. Emphasis is placed on utilizing Doppler imaging and critical thinking to evaluate and identify abnormalities in the abdominal region.

Prerequisite: SON 140  with a grade of C or higher.
