SON 140 - Abdominal Sonography I

3 Credits
Lecture: 2 Lab: 2

Abdominal Sonography I focuses on the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to perform abdominal ultrasound examinations. Students will learn to identify normal and abnormal sonographic appearances, prepare patients for procedures, and evaluate sonographic images. Emphasis is placed on clinical applications for imaging the liver, spleen, biliary tree, pancreas, and kidneys.

Prerequisite: SON 130  with a grade of C or higher.
