The Associate of Applied Science in Software Application Design and Development offers intensive training in the essentials of front-end web development, covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Topics include responsive design, accessibility standards, and UI/UX principles. Students are furnished with a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment. Graduates will be equipped with the skills necessary for entry-level employment in the software development industry and will possess the foundation to specialize in various domains of software design and development.

The primary purpose of an Associate in Applied Science degree is to prepare students for employment. The AAS degree is not designed specifically for transfer; however, there are opportunities to apply some coursework or the whole degree to a bachelor’s degree program.
