CNC Operator Level I Certificate

The CNC Operator Level I certificate prepares students with the introductory skills to operate CNC lathes and mills used to produce precision parts and assemblies. Students will gain hands-on experience working with CNC lathes and mills while working in a machine shop environment.

CNC Operator Level I Certificate Requirements

Curriculum: OCC 9103

Program Core: 18 Credit Hours

CNC 105 - Manual Machining I 3 Credits
CNC 106 - Precision Machining I 3 Credits
CNC 155 - Precision Machining II 3 Credits
IMT 104 - Blueprint Reading for Manufacturing 3 Credits
MAT 106 - Applied Mathematics I 3 Credits

Choose one:

IMT 120 - Metrology for Quality 3 Credits
IMT 121 - Quality Practices and Management 3 Credits

Other Graduation Requirements

2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
Completion of graduate application
Completion of end-of-program assessment as directed by this department.
