The Production Technician Certificate is for those looking for the basic skills needed to get started in a career working in manufacturing. Completion of this certificate will give you an advantage over others for entry-level positions so you can gain experience and further your career in manufacturing. This certificate stacks into the Industrial Maintenance Certificate and the Automation Technician Certificate.

Production Technician Certificate Requirements

Curriculum: OCC 9002

Program Core: 15 Credit Hours

ARM 151 - Mechanical Assembly and Maintenance 3 Credits
CNC 105 - Manual Machining I 3 Credits
IMT 104 - Blueprint Reading for Manufacturing 3 Credits
IMT 121 - Quality Practices and Management 3 Credits
MAT 106 - Applied Mathematics I 3 Credits

Other Certificate Graduation Requirements

2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
Completion of graduate application
Completion of end-of-program assessment as directed by this department.
