The Automation Technician Certificate builds upon the Industrial Maintenance Technician Certificate and provides graduates with a foundation to work with more advanced automated manufacturing processes. This certificate will give you a solid foundation in the implementation and troubleshooting of motor controls, programmable logic controllers, and other associated automation systems. Students will also learn the basics of robotic systems. These skills will prepare you for a career working in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment.

Other Graduation Requirements

2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
Completion of graduate application
Completion of end-of-program assessment as directed by this department.
