The Computer Forensics certificate trains you to identify and respond to network hacks and security breaches. This certificate prepares you to work with law enforcement to help gather evidence stored on computers and electronic devices for the purpose of criminal investigation. Students may choose to continue working toward an AAS in Criminal Justice.

Computer Forensics Certificate Requirements

Program Core: 15 Credit Hours

CJS 101 - Introduction to Criminal Justice 3 Credits
CJS 115 - Criminal Law 3 Credits
NET 110 - Network+ Certification Prep 3 Credits
NET 183 - Security+ Certification Prep 3 Credits
NET 185 - Ethical Hacking 3 Credits

Total Certificate Credits: 15

Other Certificate Graduation Requirements:

2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
