The Emergency Dispatcher Certificate provides the foundation for statewide competency as a public safety dispatcher and prepares students to take the National Emergency Communications Certification (NECC) exam. Students may choose to continue working toward an AAS in Criminal Justice, as the courses in this certificate count toward the AAS degree.

Program Core: 12 Credit Hours
Total Certificate Credits: 12
Other Certificate Graduation Requirements:
- 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
- For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
- Completion of graduation application
