Architectural Technology Certificate

The Architectural Technology Certificate provides students with a foundation in architectural technology focused on the latest methods of digital project delivery. The curriculum focuses on industry-recognized architectural software applications, including computer aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM), and project delivery processes preparing students for a career as an entry-level CAD or BIM technician with architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) firms. This certificate can also serve as a first step towards completing the Associate in Applied Science in Architectural Technology - Technology Option degree.

Architectural Technology Certificate Requirements
Program Core: 21 Credit Hours
Program Electives: 6 Credit Hours
Total Certificate Credits: 27
Other Certificate Graduation Requirements:
- 2.0 minimum cumulative GPA at MCC upon completion of program
- For certificates of less than 12 credit hours, all required credits must be completed through MCC coursework. For all other certificates, one-half of the minimum credit hours required must be completed through MCC coursework.
- Completion of graduation application
- Completion of end-of-program assessment as directed by this department
