CNC 278 - Precision Machining Capstone II 3 Credits Lecture: 2 Lab: 2
Precision Machining Capstone II builds on the skills from Precision Machining Capstone I. Students will be designing and machining a part or assembly to solve a problem in industry or a need in the community. Students will create solid models of their designed part, CNC programs, jigs, fixtures, and tooling set ups to complete the planned parts and assemblies. Students will employ quality control methods to ensure good parts.
Note: This is a hands-on course, so think safe and dress appropriately. Tie up long hair, wear short sleeve, tucked-in shirts, long pants (no shorts), and closed-toed shoes (no flip-flops)
