HVA 113 - Domestic Refrigeration Systems 4 Credits Lecture: 2 Lab: 4
Domestic Refrigeration Systems introduces students to the principles, practices, use and operation of domestic refrigeration equipment. Students will study various types of domestic refrigeration system including refrigerators and freezers, under counter coolers, wine and beer coolers, and ice makers. This course reinforces leak detection, system evacuation, charging, wiring diagram and schematic reading, servicing, and cleaning of domestic refrigeration systems. This course provides fundamentals for HVAC technicians to build upon as they pursue their HVAC educational and career goals.
Note: This course requires basic reading, basic writing, and basic math.
