HVA 118 - Air Movement and Ventilation 4 Credits Lecture: 2 Lab: 4
Air Movement and Ventilation advances student knowledge concerning the principles and practices of air movement and ventilation in residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). Students will study the proper methods and techniques involved in the design, sizing, balancing, and testing of complete ductwork systems. Students will also develop an advanced understanding of fan laws, indoor air quality, sail switches, flow switches, and fan systems used in the residential and commercial HVAC equipment. This course provides fundamentals for HVAC technicians to build upon as they pursue their HVAC educational and career goals. (1.2-Articulated)
