HVA 107 - HVAC Electrical II 4 Credits Lecture: 2 Lab: 4
HVAC Electrical II advances student knowledge concerning the principles, practices, use and operation of electricity associated with residential and commercial HVAC equipment. Students will study various types of electrical components including motors, power distribution, thermostats, safeties, controls, relays, contactors, defrost controls, and direct digital controls found in residential and commercial HVAC equipment. This course reinforces the use and operation of diagnostic test equipment, electrical troubleshooting, and the use of wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot residential and commercial HVAC equipment. This course provides fundamentals for HVAC technicians to build upon as they pursue their HVAC educational and career goals. (1.2-Articulated)
