SPA 271 - Proficient Communicators I

Proficient Communicators I is intended for dual language students and heritage speakers. Students develop their ability to listen to, speak, read, and write in the Spanish language at an advanced level. To reach this goal, emphasis is placed on the active use of the language at all times by all students. Written assignments and various oral presentations are required. Advanced vocabulary is also stressed. It is expected that all students work diligently, collectively, and independently in order to master the material that is covered in the course.

Prerequisite: SPA 252 with a grade of C or higher, or four years of high school Spanish with a grade of C or higher in both fall and spring semesters of the fourth year, or appropriate score on the College Spanish Placement Test.
