NUR 212 - Concepts of Nursing Practice II 5 Credits Lecture: 3 Lab: 6
Concepts of Nursing Practice II focuses on applying critical thinking and the nursing process to clients with dysfunctional health patterns including nutrition-metabolic (endocrine and integumentary), cognitive-perceptual (neurology and sensory) through the lifespan. Students apply nursing skills in the clinical setting and utilize holistic nursing care plans for clients with multiple dysfunctional health patterns.
Note: Prior to the first day of class, students must submit the following to the Nursing Department: current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification (CPR), the student health record requirements including physical form, vaccination record, drug screening and background check.
This course requires 10 hours of clinical and 2 hours of lab per week.
Prerequisite: NUR 120 and NUR 124 both with a grade of C or higher. View Course Availability
