MKT 255 - Marketing Internship 3 Credits Variable Lecture: 1 Lab: 15
Marketing Internship provides students with an opportunity to apply knowledge from Marketing and Business coursework to gain skills from a planned work experience. In addition to meeting course objectives, work experience outcomes are specified and evaluated by course faculty, work-site supervisor, and student. Internships are used to provide entry-level, career related experience, opportunities to explore marketing career fields and gain workplace competencies that employers value. Students will research internship openings, or work with Career Services and Marketing Department Chair to secure internship positions. Periodic review discussions are held to assess student progress. Students may repeat this course once for a maximum of 6 credit hours. Each credit requires 75 internship contact hours. Prerequisite: MKT 110 with a grade of C or higher, 9 credit hours of Marketing/Business Management coursework with a grade of C or higher, and written approval of the Marketing Department chair. View Course Availability
